Daily
The Daily Community was a group run by Smugmug in its early days. Rather like a Flickr group where you could see people's latest photos and comment on them.
Smugmug ruined the community of the DC by removing this feature and fracturing the friendships that had grown in the community over a number of years. None of the contacts I made can now see when I upload a new photo and I cannot see theirs.
As a consequence, views on my photos dropped from about 20,000 a day to about 40 a day.

October 6th
Today is my little sister's birthday. So I feel very down in not being able to pick up the phone to her. The autumn colours remind me of my sister's hair.
Just not being able to send a funny card or text is pretty much awful. Or even say I was thinking of her on her birthday. We used to send each other silly presents, just for fun. My sister was the only person in my family who gave a crap about me or my birthday.
Sometimes I still think of what she sounded like when she'd laugh or tell a funny story. And knowing I will probably never hear that again is very tough.

on October 7, 2015Excellent! So sorry for your loss, I felt the same way about my little brother and although he's been gone now for 21 years, I still miss him and particularly that loss is worse on his birthday. Prayers for you. This is a beautiful photo and a very lovely tribute to your sister.
